→ Introduction

We Are But a Collection of Things began as an exploration of people’s personal collections. The project was intended to convey the intersection of memory, vulnerability, and the objects we hold dear. Following a later photo study, the work developed to focus on a common keepsake among strangers—our keys and the stories held within them.

Life manifesting in that which we surround ourselves with. We Are But a Collection of Things has since culminated in a short film, projection installation, book production, and website.
